Scuba Diving in Belize with www.godiving.org
Belize offers scuba diving on the second largest barrier reef in the world, in an English speaking environment. The northern end is diviable from the shore but in the south a fast 20 mile boat ride is required.
For scuba diving in the north of Belize, Ambergris Cay offers easy access to the reef and encounters with sharks and rays. The pelagics are large and there are shoals of fish to watch.
Huge shoals of jack and barracuda live in the atoll reef systems of Belize. Here it is common to see rays, sharks, dolphins and even sometime Orca.
The water in Belize is warm and a shortie should be enough. Scuba diving from liveaboards and remote islands as well as mainland diving centres are all options.
