Scuba Diving in South Africa with www.godiving.org

South Africa offers both shore and boat scuba diving on reef and wreck sites plus cold water kelp diving. Some of the wrecks are fairly intact whilst others have suffered the years. There are also a variety of vessels sunk to form an artificial reef.

Sharks, whales, turtles and fur seals are on offer on certain dives (depending on the time of year), along with South Africa's famous day trips for the Great White Shark encounters.

The seasonal bait balls in South Africa are caused by migrating shoals of fish and their attacks from many predators including dolphins, sharks, whales and birds.

Colourful reefs and shark encounters along with the chance to dive the Atlantic or Indian Ocean form the base of diving in South Africa. The temperature increases as you travel north.
