Scuba Diving in Tenerife with www.godiving.org

Los Gigantes, not as well visited as Playa de las Americas, offers plenty of scuba diving in the shadows of Tenerife's famous cliffs. With a ray feeding site attracting plenty of large sting rays, eagle rays and more that can be hand fed, plus angel sharks in season and sometimes dolphins on the approaches to the dive sites, the scuba diving is excellent. Further along the coast, just a short ride in a RIB, other dive sites add to the variety.

More frequently visited, Playa de las Americas and Los Christianos offer plenty of fish, rocky reefs, drop offs and the odd wreck, plus another ray feeding site.

Tenerife offers plenty of experiences for non-diving partners and families, but be aware that trips up Mount Teide are counted as going to altitude.

5mm wet suits can be used throughout the year, but these may feel a little cold in the winter. Shorties suits can be used in the summer.
