Scuba Diving in the UK with www.godiving.org
The UK has an assortment of inland dive sites in well known quarries to an abundance of wrecks in shallow and deep water.
Most of the sea diving concentrates around the south coast of England, the coast of Wales and Scotland.
Diving in the sea around the UK is seasonal, but the inland dive sites do extend this season, although they can be very cold in the winter!
England - Most of the diving in England takes place around the south coast - but the Farne islands and a few other locations do exist. Also there are a variety of well equipped inland dive centres.
Wales - From Pembrokshire in the south west corner of Wales to Anglesey off the north west coast of Wales, there are plenty of diving opportunities. Some require good skills in currents, but others are very simple dives.
Scotland - From beginners to experienced divers, Scotland offers diving for everyone. Most famous of Scotland's diving sites is probably Scapa Flow - the location where the German WW1 fleet was scuttled. Not easy to get to, most of the battleships lay upside down and the visibility is frequently poor, but a very big piece of naval history is on offer.
