Scubadive West, Connemara, West of Ireland


aerial view of Scubadive WestScubadive West is a PADI 5 Star and National Geographic Dive Resort located in Connemara, the West of Ireland. Established in 1992, this prestigious dive centre is a family-run operation offering the entire range of PADI dive courses from Discover Scubadiving (perfect for absolute beginners) right through to Instructor level training.

Three bespoke dive boats will bring qualified divers to world-class sites, including the epic offshore islands of Inis Turk and Inis Boffin.

Boat diving is available 12 months of the year from:

  • the Marlin; a 7.5 metre catamaran rib with twin 100 HP engines
  • the Offshore Diver; a 36 ft half-decker complete with bottle racks, ladder and dive platforms
  • the Brazen Hussy (newly built for 2009); a 38 ft x 16 ft catamaran complete with hydraulic lift, extensive cabin space and real-time 3D ocean floor mapping in the passenger area; talk about dive planning for the 21st century!

    Facilities available include:

  • Airfills to 300 bar, including Nitrox
  • Full dive gear rental, including drysuits
  • Changing rooms, including hot showers
  • Overnight gear storage, including drying facilities
  • Canteen area
  • Scubapro service agent and IDEST approved cylinder testing
